This program can be used to create audio broadcasts on any variety of subjects. For example, students might record a poem, story, book review, conduct an author interview, or explain their understanding on a variety of topics. It is a great tool for improving both reading and verbal fluency as students are motivated to record over and over to get their best performance. Their performances can then be enhanced by editing out any minor imperfections or adding in background music or special sound effects.
With Halloween around the corner, it might be fun for students to record the reading of a halloween poem either written themselves or from a favorite author. Students can brainstorm special effects sounds that they can add to enhance the poetry and practice using dramatic emphasis with their own performance.
